Anjouan is one of the three islands of the Union of the Comoros, and it sells online gambling licences quickly and with little supervision. Several crypto casinos we review hold one. In practice an Anjouan licence gives a player no independent complaints route, so the casino's own payout record has to carry all the weight.
It is a permit to run an online casino, issued on Anjouan and sold to operators around the world. Applications are processed fast and the cost is low next to a European licence, and many crypto operators took one while Curaçao was reforming its own system. The licence lets a casino say it is licensed. It does not put a regulator between you and the casino when something goes wrong.
The Anjouan licensees in our reviews publish their licence numbers, which is a start. Duel holds ALSI-202411026-FI1 and is run by Immortal Snail LLC. Gamba holds ALSI-152512013-F13 and is run by Gamba Gaming N.V., a Curaçao company, which shows that where a company is registered and where it is licensed can be two different places. LuckyCoin holds ALSI-202411002-FI1. All three paid our test withdrawals, and their reviews carry the times.
None of the Anjouan casinos we review names an independent dispute body. A complaint goes to the operator, and if it is not settled there, there is nowhere effective to take it. There is no national self-exclusion scheme behind the licence, and we have found no rule that keeps player balances apart from company money. Responsible gambling tools are thin as well: at all three casinos above, our test accounts found no deposit or loss limit inside the account.
That is disputed. The Central Bank of the Comoros has issued public warnings since 2022 that offshore licensing bodies on Anjouan have no legal basis under the Union's law, and the island's licences came under renewed scrutiny in early 2026. The licensing body on Anjouan keeps issuing licences and keeps a register. For a player the dispute changes little: whatever its legal standing, the licence does not bring you a complaints process that works.
The licence numbers in our reviews start with ALSI, followed by digits. Find the number and the operating company in the casino's terms, then look both up on the register the licensing body publishes, and check that the company named there matches the one in the terms. Keep in mind what a match proves: that a licence was issued to that company. The register is kept by the same body that sells the licences, so it tells you nothing about supervision or about how a complaint would be handled.
