How an Apple Pay deposit works
You choose the on-ramp in the cashier, enter an amount and confirm with Face ID or Touch ID. The on-ramp charges the card in your Apple Wallet, buys the coin and sends it to your casino balance. The first time, it usually runs its own identity check, separate from the casino's. It also takes a fee and an exchange spread, so less arrives in your balance than leaves your card.
Can I withdraw to Apple Pay?
No. Apple Pay passes on a payment from a card and holds no balance a casino could send money to, and the casinos we review pay out in crypto anyway. To receive a withdrawal you need a crypto wallet or an exchange account. You can set one up on the same iPhone before you make the deposit.
Set up the wallet before the deposit
- Install a crypto wallet app, or open an exchange account, on your iPhone.
- If it is a wallet you control, write the recovery phrase on paper and keep it off the phone.
- Find the receive address for the coin you plan to withdraw in, and check which network it uses.
- Only then buy with Apple Pay at the cashier, ideally in the same coin, so the withdrawal can go straight back to that wallet.
When Apple Pay is the right choice
When you hold no crypto yet and want to start small on your phone. For regular play it is the costly route: buying crypto on an exchange and depositing it directly costs less every time. Your bank's rules still apply to the card behind Apple Pay, so if the bank blocks gambling or crypto purchases on that card, the Apple Pay payment is declined too.
What to compare before you confirm
The on-ramp's checkout shows two numbers: what it will charge your card, and how much coin you will get. Compare the coin amount with the price on any exchange at the same moment, and the difference is the real cost of the purchase, fee and spread together. If that cost is a large share of the deposit, buy on an exchange instead. If it is small and you only need a little to start, Apple Pay is a reasonable shortcut.
What Apple Pay does and does not protect
An Apple Pay payment keeps your card number away from the on-ramp and the casino, which is a real privacy gain. It changes nothing about the casino itself. Check its licence and its payout record as you would for any deposit, and keep the first deposit small until a withdrawal has reached your wallet.
